When and why was the team formed ?:

Our squad is made up of hardworking, committed players who bring energy, teamwork, and character every match night. While we keep things competitive, there’s plenty of humour and camaraderie in the dressing room, making the team a great group to be part of.

Is there a reason or a story behind the team name?:

The name Eircom Stars comes from the telecommunications company Eircom, where most of the players work. We chose Stars because we believe that when we shine together as a team, we can achieve great things — on and off the pitch.

Tell us about your players, some nicknames and stories about their careers (on and off the pitch).:

Honours won (if any) and what are the ambitions for the team?:

We are yet to win our first honour, but our ambition is clear:
Win the league
Complete a league and cup double
We believe success will come with consistency, teamwork, and commitment.

What is the best part of the league and how can we improve?:

We don't have anything to say improvement on only ourselves

What advice would you give any team interested in joining W.F.S., including finances ?:

Get committed players, plan finances early, and focus on teamwork. A well-organised squad makes the experience much more enjoyable and competitive.
